The native token of the Solana Name Service or “SNS” is the Bonfida(FIDA) token. So far, there seems to not be any plans by the Bonfida team to release a separate token solely for the Solana Name Service.
Token Airdrop 🪂
Due to a lot of people missing out on the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) airdrop, people on cryptocurrency communities like Reddit and Twitter have been pressuring the Bonfida team to airdrop a separate SNS token for .SOL domain owners and registrants. So far though, all the Bonfida team is saying is that there are currently no plans on having a token airdrop.
Take note that the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is its own separate project, while the Solana Name Service (SNS) is a part of the Bonfida project.

While a separate token airdrop is not totally impossible, the Bonfida team seems to be uninterested and would much rather prefer the revenue to be shared with FIDA holders. Releasing a separate SNS token would simply decrease the utility and interest of the FIDA token.
