Though there have been some community members that have used the sun “☀️” emoji, the majority consensus of the Solana community on Twitter on what Solana’s “official” character/symbol is “◎” (a circle inside a slightly bigger circle).

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any sources in any Solana community where this symbol is first mentioned, or first used in the context of Solana.

Pretty much the easiest and simplest solution — you simply copy-paste it! –> ◎
Enter it manually (MacOS) 💻
- Press the CTRL-⌘-spacebar keyboard combination to bring up the Emoji window
- Click on the » icon at the bottom right corner
- Click on the ✻ icon at the bottom (3rd from the right)
- Click on the ◎ icon
