If you think you haven’t seen it all — well, for some reason one of the biggest and most vocal Bitcoin and cryptocurrency haters actually ended up launching his own cryptocurrency.

For context, here’s Nouriel Roubini calling the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem some names: “What are the seven C’s of crypto? Concealed, corrupt, crooks, criminals, conmen, carnival barkers, and CZ(referring to Binance CEO ChangPeng Zhao)”.
Nouriel Roubini also says “(Bitcoin) is the mother of all bubbles“, and continues on to call it a Tulip Mania — implying that Bitcoin will just completely dump to zero after it pumped to current prices.

Roubini’s crypto project 😬
Roubini is a co-founder of a cryptocurrency project called “Atlas”, some climate-related token, that apparently(as said on their website) “promotes accessible, and scalable returns in regions where they are most needed“.
The Atlas token is said to be “Pegged to a carefully chosen portfolio of liquid real-world assets—climate-resilient REITs, strategic commodities, inflation-hedged sovereign bonds, and gold“.

After years and years of attacking the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency space, why is Nouriel Roubini suddenly joining the fray?
Did he change his mind? Was he always lying since the start, throwing attacks just for publicity? Is he starting a grift project?
