Despite mostly just being a huge meme, DOGE coin is definitely one of the biggest and most well-known cryptocurrency projects today. While it was famous and well known for years and years now, Elon Musk definitely gave it a lot more publicity (and notoriety) by Tweeting a lot about it.
What you’re going to need:
- a KuCoin account (create an account here)
- some crypto, or a bank card/PayPal/Zelle/TransferWise account
Depositing funds to your KuCoin account
Deposit using Crypto
- Head over to your main account
- Click on Deposit for the coin/token you’re planning on depositing
- Once the coins/tokens have reflected on your Main Account, click on Transfer to move the coins/tokens from your Main Account to your Trading Account
Deposit using your local currency
If you haven’t verified your account yet by submitting personal documents, click on your account icon on the top right, and click KYC Verification.
Once your account is already verified:
- On the menu bar, click on Buy Crypto, then click on Fast Trade
- Enter the amount you’re willing to spend
- Pick your preferred payment method
- Click on the green Buy USDT button
- Once the USDT has reflected on your Main Account, click on Transfer to move the coins/tokens from your Main Account to your Trading Account
How to buy DOGE on KuCoin
As of today — on KuCoin, you can only buy DOGE using USDT/USDC/BTC.
- Head over to the Markets tab
- Type in DOGE on the search bar
- Click on your preferred trading pair(ignore the 3x long and 3x short pairs)
- You can now see the charts. Enter in your 6-Digit Trading Password
- Under Spot, there will be 3 kinds of buy offers: Limit, Market, and Stop Limit. Click on Market
- Enter in the number of tokens you’re willing to spend, then click on Buy DOGE
You have now bought some DOGE.
